Privacy notice

Last updated: 7 August 2026

This page explains what happens to the data you leave on this site. It covers both the contact form and the guided anamnesis, which collects information about your health and therefore deserves a few extra lines.

Who handles your data

The data controller is Daniele Fermo, physiotherapist and kinesiologist, practising at Arcamedica in L'Aquila, Italy.

No data protection officer has been appointed: given the size of the practice, it is not required.

What we collect

Contact data: your first name, last name, mobile number and email address, which you provide when you ask to be called back or complete the guided anamnesis.

Health data: the guided anamnesis asks about the painful area, past surgery, imaging already done, treatments tried, injuries and — if you are a woman — pregnancies. These are special categories of data under Article 9 GDPR, which is why you are asked for a separate, explicit consent.

The contact form can collect health information too: the free-text field invites you to describe what happened, and whatever you write there falls into the same category. That is why the form asks for the same explicit consent as the anamnesis, and cannot be submitted without those checkboxes.

Technical data: if you consent to measurement tools, the site collects aggregated browsing data. Technical cookies needed to run the site are always active.

Booking and communication data: if you book the call, we record that you did and when; if you don't, we record whether an invite or follow-up reminder email was sent, and when, so we can stop them correctly and avoid writing to you more than intended.

Why we process it

Contact data is used to get back to you and arrange the free call: the legal basis is the pre-contractual steps you asked for yourself (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).

Health data is used to judge whether the instrumented assessment is indicated in your case and to arrive prepared: the legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a GDPR). Without that consent the anamnesis is not submitted, and the check runs on the server too.

Sending the booking-link email and any follow-up reminders is automatic but deterministic: no algorithm decides whether or when you can book, and no automated evaluation of your data affects your access to the service (Art. 22 GDPR). The booking link always arrives, regardless of any further processing.

Your data is never used for advertising profiling, nor sold or handed to third parties.

How long we keep it

Guided anamnesis data: twelve months from submission. If no programme begins within that time, it is deleted.

If a programme does begin, the clinical information becomes part of the professional records and follows the retention terms applying to them, in line with the ordinary ten-year limitation period.

Contact data from the callback form alone: twenty-four months, unless you ask for earlier deletion.

The log of automatic emails (invite, reminders, unsubscribe) is kept for as long as the anamnesis data it is linked to.

Who else sees it

Anamnesis answers are recorded in Google Sheets through Google Apps Script, which also sends the automatic emails (booking invite, reminders, notification to Daniele). Booking the call runs through the Cal.com platform. The site runs on cloud infrastructure, whose provider will be named here once finally chosen.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

We do not share your data with anyone else, and no provider uses it for its own purposes: each one acts only to deliver the service requested.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing or receive a copy in a readable format.

You can withdraw your consent whenever you want: withdrawal applies from that moment onwards and does not make earlier processing unlawful.

If you believe something is wrong, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Changes to this notice

If the processing changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Consent versions are stored alongside the answers, so what you agreed to, and when, can always be reconstructed.

How to exercise your rights
